Overall profitability - Leaders drive Fendt
Invest right – and keep on saving
Efficiency: the recipe for successful economical operations
We make no compromises when it comes to efficiency, because our objective is to be the leader for cost-effectiveness per hectare and kilometre. The very best technology is just good enough here, for example, as is found in the 300 Vario: the highly efficient Vario drive train and the fuel-saving SCR technology in combination with TMS. These further increase the already first-class efficiency of the Vario and reduce costs per hectare and kilometre.
Winner in Profi spare parts comparison
The term profitability plays an important role in the purchase decision, but is often reduced to the purchase price. The hidden follow-up costs are found in areas that can only be compared with other manufacturers with great difficulty. Often the spare parts costs, which are an important part of follow-up costs, are used for this, as the profi spare parts price comparison in the May issue 2013 shows using the 130-hp class as an example.
The profi editors found that the price spread between manufacturers no longer has anything to do with different purchase prices, as can be seen in the following findings: “Whether or not you pay 2,200 euros [Fendt 313 Vario] or - for the same parts - more than 4,800 euros [most expensive test participant] for your spare parts order, depends on the make. Those are the great price differences that we found in our survey.”
Four to five authorised dealers were asked for the prices for specific spare parts for each model. The spare parts were divided into three shopping carts:
- Wear parts: primarily filters and oils
- Make-independent spare parts: Parts that also fit different tractors
- Make-specific spare parts: Parts that only fit a particular tractor
Profi sums up
“In this survey, we discovered that the price differences between different dealers of a make were usually very low - the differences between different manufacturers, however, could amount to 300% and more.”
Conclusion: Best value in overall result
The overall comparison of the three shopping carts proves that Fendt remains true to its principle to offer customers the lowest follow-up and overall costs and accordingly offers the lowest priced spare parts. profi reports: “In our survey, the 313 Vario from Fendt had good and excellent (low) prices for both wearing parts (93 percent) and make-specific spare parts (only 55 percent […]). Arithmetically, the Vario 313 had an excellent value of only 76 percent across all three shopping carts in our survey.” Fendt is thus 25% lower in cost than the average of the test participants.
